About Us

The Destiny Program

We believe that becoming a homeowner brings pride of ownership and a host of other benefits, giving families living in homelessness a solid start to a better life.

We have partnered with Out of the Box Housing to provide sustainable, affordable housing. We are passionate about reducing homelessness. As a provider of affordable small homes, Out of the Box Housing has pledged a portion of every tiny house sale to fund a tiny home for homeless individuals.

Mission

Our Mission

Finding permanent homes for single mothers, military veterans, the working homeless population, and former inmates is our focus. We believe small footprint/tiny homes are a sustainable solution to help these at-risk populations. We partner with manufacturers, distributors, and developers of these products to encourage the building of villages, cottages, and homes to be used for “housing first” services programs.

As part of this mission, we are also partnering with outreach services of all types in order to help make sure that any housing first development has wrap-around social services integrated into the community, or easily accessed. Just finding a person home is incredibly helpful, but if it is difficult for the person to then reintegrate into society, the likelihood of recidivism greatly increases.

Electrical and plumbing are included, but homeowners will need to ensure water and electricity access separately. Both models support solar power and RV-style septic systems. Kitchens and sustainable living modules like hydroponics can be added for an additional cost.
